New app layout
- Start Scan/Saved Scans has been renamed to simply Scan.
- Order Verification is now available in Ship and Receive
- Raw Tags has been renamed to EPC Read.
Scanning improvements
No need to select scan type
- All tags will be included at the time of scanning, and sorted into categories. When the scan is finished, you will upload whichever categories you want to include.
Simplified scan settings
- Power settings - now choose Near, Middle, or Far. These values can be customized from the Settings menu.
- Scan modes - now choose Speed or Density instead of selecting a Session and Scan mode.
- Auto Scan - you can now put the reader in a continuous scan mode, so you don't need to hold the trigger while you scan your inventory.
Find Reader
- You can now use the Find Reader button in the Reader Settings view: your connected reader will make a sound and vibrate so that it can be located easily.
Different tag counting modes
- By default, as you're scanning, Active tags will be categorized into New, Absent, Found, and Reverified. However, for particularly large inventory scans, it may be useful to disable this setting (Advanced Tags Counting Mode), to improve performance.
Remove Scan is now Archive
- By default, this option is hidden, but it can be enabled in Settings. Archive is now a separate operation entirely from Scan, though the functionality is largely the same.
Order Verification
- Whereas only Transfer orders could be verified previously, 8.0 now allows you to verify Sales and Purchase orders as well. Orders can be created from the web or the mobile app.
Bulk Encoding
- Writing tags using the mobile app and handheld scanner can now be done in two ways: Single Tag encoding and Bulk encoding.
- Single tag encoding: encode one tag at a time; great for small amounts of tags, or tags that each need to represent a different product.
- Bulk encoding: Encode a large amount of tags with the same product at a time. If you have tags that can't be encoded with an RFID printer, you can now isolate them and encode them with a product all at once.
