Introduction
One of the most valuable features of our solution is our direct integration with Shopify. By connecting directly, we provide the ability to quickly identify discrepancies in your inventory, and make updates your inventory accordingly.
To use this integration, install the Simple RFID app from the Shopify App Store. More detailed instructions for setting up the app will be provided soon here in the knowledge base.
In this article we'll describe the steps to compare your recently scanned RFID inventory against your Shopify inventory, and Sync any changes that need to be made.
Comparing your RFID scan counts against your Shopify inventory
Within the Simple RFID app, click the Compare On Hand tab. This is the section of the app where inventory comparisons are made.
Make sure you have your desired location selected in the drop-down menu near the top-right of the page. Only one location can be loaded at a time.
Next, click the RFID vs. On Hand to load your RFID inventory and your On Hand inventory in Shopify.
Your existing inventory will be split into two sections, "Match" and "Mismatch". "Match" includes items for which your RFID inventory is the same as your Shopify inventory, so there are no changes to be made.
"Mismatch" will include any discrepancies between the two inventories. In this section, there are Deflated, Inflated, and Out of Stock statuses describing the relationship between the inventory counts for these products.
- Deflated means your Shopify count is lower than your RFID count.
- Inflated means your Shopify count is higher than your RFID count.
- Out of Stock means the same thing as Inflated, with the only difference being that your RFID count is 0.
Syncing mismatches to Shopify
In the Mismatch view, use the checkboxes on the right side to select any products that you'd like to Sync to Shopify.
Syncing will overwrite your Shopify inventory to match your RFID inventory. If necessary, spot check any discrepancies by hand, or perform another scan to add any tags that you may have missed.
Click the Sync button above the products table to complete the sync to Shopify for the selected products. You can also sync one product at a time by using the Sync button corresponding to that product.
When a sync is completed, any updated products will have a Inventory Correction made by Simple RFID in their Adjustment History:
Viewing Sync History
A History of any syncs that have been made can be seen by clicking the History button. Within a certain window, syncs can also be reverted if there was a mistake.
