Setting up xSpan for Testing

The outlines the steps to setting up an xSpan for testing

Connect and Install Client

• Connect xSpan to Windows PC via Ethernet cable
• Plug xSpan power cord into an AC power outlet
• On the Windows PC, install the Fixed Reader Client.
• Search for the name of the PC and email it to support@simplerfid.com. This will allow us to connect the reader to your account.

Log in to Simple RFiD

Once locked to your account, you will see the reader under the Fixed Reader tab in the Settings (gear icon).

Next, you will need to configure the reader:

Assign Location and Scan Type

• Side A - Add or Remove
• Side B (contains the light) - Add or Remove
